On January 8th 1918, American president W. Wilson laid out a proposition in 14 points that were to serve as the basis for the Versailles peace treaty. Croatia was mentioned in point 10, which demanded full liberty for the autonomous development of the peoples of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, and point 11, according to which relations between Balkan peoples should be arranged through consultation with the Allies, based on historical borders for which international guarantees should be given.
Donated in 1994 by professor Zeljko Skalamera in Zagreb.
