Map by the humanist J. Sambucus, of Slovakian origin, is the best cartographic depiction of Croatia in 16th century. As he himself cites in the dedication, he had used maps by Hirschvogel and Angelini, dedicating this map to his friend Ortelius.
Bought from Ferdinand Roracher in Lienz (Austria) in 1906.
