Pocket newspaper of the Communications Company of the Second Coastal Sector


Zadar end of 1944 Paper, text typewritten, headlines in handwriting, illustrated, Croatian and Slovenian 23 x 16.5 cm, 12 pages The newspaper contains articles by partisan soldiers of the Second Coastal Sector concerning the war, their poems and a cartoon. A multicolour drawing by an unknown author is on the cover, showing Adolf Hitler scared by flags of the Allies, while Berlin is on fire. Partizanska karikatura 1941-1945, (exhibition catalogue of the MRNH), Zagreb, 1989, page 55 A caricature identical to the one from the front page was published in the 'Slobodna Dalmacija', the official paper of the JNOF Dalmatia, year I, number 51, on June 17th 1944. Both caricatures and the cartoon on page 3 were done according to the drawing from the Allied paper, 'Glas pobede', number 1, 1944.
